ABRAHAM

To Learn One Must Be Teachable

DECEMBER 1, 2003

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am with awe to be witness to your interaction this evening. You are providing a living example of your inner beliefs. This evening I am not your teacher but your student. We have waited many years for the roots of our teachings to become deeply embedded into the soil of reality. This is a new era in thought and action. Your efforts in this work will be challenging. While the labor seems difficult, the birth of new reality is beautiful to behold. What is true is here to stay. What is not will be forgotten in time. We shall again have discussion on the Kingdom and personal cost.

Your spiritual life has surely been a journey with its peaks and valleys. You are now, have been and will be the sum of your thoughts and beliefs. This is not good or bad, but experiential and with endless meanings and values. For this sum total in personal reality, and your striving to be God-like you have and will continue to do so--pay a price. In your life lessons there have been blows to the ego, which can be counted as your greatest spiritual growth. This always requires a cost, this is however toward the positive.

To learn one has to be teachable and the soul is naturally that. Mortal conditioning, animal nature, possibly up-bringing would have the ego believe it is already with all knowledge. The soul within is a child and with eyes that are anxious for adventure. To serve Father, to understand His will, there is personal cost. There is that surrendering child who is driven to absorb, to live out to the best of ability the understanding of Fathers will. Personal cost is varying from believer to believer and the examples are really quite numerous. You each have understanding of what that has meant in your own life.

Have you bought your way into the Kingdom? Of course not, but definitely have you sacrificed and changed for your advancing soul. Do you give up your desires? No. Are you exercising patience? Yes. Are you mechanistic without distinction? Of course not. You are each known and loved beyond your comprehension. Are you required to listen, to practice being spiritual, to study, to commune, to produce fruits of the spirit, to be God-like, to love one another as Christ has loved you, to understand perfected humility? Yes. Yes, this is the path we tread. This is the price we are willing to pay.

When I was a child I had childish things. As a man I put childish things away. You are each endeavoring to mature in spirit, but also are you striving to become a better mortal and much of the time this is where the difficulty lies. Be not discouraged. Know that what may cost you your animal nature is the keys to the Kingdom. Have not fear. Each practicing day you experience, you are one step closer to who you are becoming. This is indeed something to be honored.

Our exercise for the week is to acknowledge our Sovereign, acknowledge our Father in whose will we desire to follow at any cost of the ego. Request Father to walk before you, acknowledge His presence, His sovereignty at the beginning of these meetings. Remember children there is great growth in the pains of labor. You are each one anothers assignment. Be observant and look for the value. You do well. No questions. Know that I am standing by along with a vast resource of Kingdom helpers. Go in peace. Until next time, shalom.
