Charles: [Mark] Good morning, it is indeed my pleasure to jump in and join your conversation this morning and pick up on some of the threads offered here. There a common phrase in your culture that your country, America, is known as the melting pot of the world but I would take and alter this perception slightly. A melting pot infers by its very description that all aspects are somehow poured into the same vessel, that extreme heat is applied and that all these different elements then combine together to become as one element. Certainly there are aspects of this analogy which may be useful to the mind when contemplating the combination of many different elements and the functioning as one, but I would offer perhaps a greater analogy of the country that you are attempting to define in its characteristics. I would refer to this country more as a great and glorious garden. In this analogy I would welcome you to envision that each individual which comes and plants themselves in the overall garden, brings to the garden their distinct flower, even their distinct fruit and each one of these come together to be planted in the same common garden but have still an individual expression to make, their own flower to bloom and grow.

It is the combination of all these flowers and fruits which bring such diversity and at the same time such wholeness to the garden. You see, the idea is not that every individual melt down and become something different than they are, the idea in fact is that every individual grow to be the best flower that they are and to share this glorious accomplishment for all to behold within the context of the total garden. Any garden is considered a splendor when it has vast diversity, when you are able to witness all manner of expressions of bounty contained within the garden. Such a garden is considered glorious when there is great diversity coming together in harmony, the harmony of growing together in one place under one master gardener with the common awareness that they are all part of this fold, that they all desire to be within the garden, they all seek nourishment from the same soil, they all depend upon the same conditions in order to survive and yet each one, every one, will have its unique opportunity for expression to become the grandest flower that they are able under these circumstances.

Many times it occurs within the garden that certain species and types are grouped together and they enjoy the association of each other and banding together to be a vibrant patch within the garden but nevertheless, they are not separate from the garden. They are part of the whole. The gardener enjoys selective planting and there is much in any garden left up to those who would tend it, who would nourish it, who would plan it and put the energy into its execution. The garden of this country is being tended by all those who are watching out for it, who are trying to maintain its stability and yet accommodate its diversity. nWhat a grand and glorious spectacle it is, to witness the unique combination that is the garden of this country.

So I invite you all to see that this country may act as a microcosm for you to observe in contrast to the macrocosm, the entirety of the planet in contrast with this country. It is no less a garden, it is no less one gigantic whole and yet there are diverse crops and many unique and beautiful species which thrive within this garden. Any good gardener will know the value of diversity and of the preservation of that which has come before you, the value of the seeds, the care taken to nurture them. This is what people are so concerned about, about preserving their heritage, their native lands, cultures, languages and dress. They see the value in these ancient seed stocks and keeping the variety alive because it is the state and different and unto itself.

But nevertheless there is this desire to come and plant themselves in the big garden and to bring their variety and their distinction and their difference into the larger picture and this must be embraced by the wise gardener. It is not a threat to the garden that other species are introduced. It is an enhancement of the variety and the overall scope and texture that is present within the garden. This may be a slightly new and different way to view this experiment called America, where there is the desire for a commonness, a uniformity of ideals and purpose, but there is also the great desire to maintain the heirloom type qualities that the distinct and different cultures bring to the garden. Certainly allowances can be made and accommodations can be provided while still maintaining the integrity of the overall garden.

This brings up another analogy, and that is, to the gardener, what is a weed? A weed to one gardener is an unwanted invasive species which threatens to take over and dominate, while to another gardener, that very same weed may be the supply for making tea or wine or other valuable derivatives. So there is lack of uniform agreement on the value and necessity of those different aspects which grow inside the garden but I tell you plainly that one mans weed is another persons herbal remedy and all these are possible to exist side by side if provisions are made and respect for the distinction is maintained. There is value to be derived in all these different perspectives about the relative value of each and every contribution to the garden. These perspectives must be respected but they will be undergoing constant metamorphosis as the expansion of awareness of these differences comes to the protectors of the garden. What once may seen as a threat, may be adopted as a rare virtue, one to be protected and preserved and what once thought as some of the staples to be planted may be weened out in favor of more other righteous plantings.

I hope this new version of the melting pot turned flowering garden may be helpful for perspective in your consideration of the aspects in play around your observations of the accepting of the diversity within the garden as demonstrated by your fellows. I appreciate your bringing this topic for discussion to the table this morning and my opportunity to offer my contribution. I bid you all farewell and your peace be expanded as your days are long, thank you.

Light: [Cathy] I am coming from the position of being in my own group. Your initiative and intention created an entirely new personality, Light. I am an extension of your love and creativity. That was the beginning but I have become so much more through growth. I have been given opportunity for expression of my unique talents. Your efforts have supported me and enhanced my opportunities. I am most affectionately attached to your group and cherish each of you as we grow together. Once again, I encourage you to join with me in the application and enhancement of light, let's play.

Jonathan: [Mark] My friends, it is my pleasure to join you once again this morning, I am Jonathan here again. I am attracted not only by this group but by any discussion of gardening, weeds and flowers. I would like to refer to the fact that I am no stranger to getting down and pulling the weeds out from around those plants which I wish to provide space for, I am thinking in this instance of the distinction between weeds and plants. As a gardener, one knows that plants such as grass will, if allowed, grow and take over every square inch around them and dominate the landscape to the degree that nothing else can really survive.

Therefore it is important if you wish to have diversity, in distinction from this grass, that there be an active measure to curtail this naturally growing element to the degree that other elements may be introduced and even thrive within that environment. It is important that one maintain some rather constant diligence to execute their freewill choice as to what is given priority within their own garden. If left unattended, these naturally occurring elements, these weeds will thrive and choke away most of the diversity that one would introduce. Therefore, one must maintain this attitude of conviction that it is proper and good to monitor and apply intention to removing these naturally occurring elements enough so that others may have a foothold and may take up in these areas you would provide as a garden.

A garden requires the gardener to maintain this perimeter, to supply the nutrients and the water, to keep the wildlife at bay so that these flowers may thrive and these fruits may develop. Without the gardener there is nothing but the raw patch of land which will be consumed by these naturally occurring elements. Therefore it does take some direct intention to create an environment, an environment conducive to diversity, conducive to welcoming different species, different hybrids, different varieties and types and to bring them in much as the life carriers did, to provide them an environment which is conducive to their survival and growth, to maintain this environment and keep back the forces at play which would threaten to overtake.

So I point to the fact, in this analogy, that without the gardeners and without the master gardener, the plan would be threatened by the randomness of what may happen. But with the gardener and those who would provide the effort, the space may be maintained for the expression of something that is nothing more than the freewill expression of the gardener. Those master gardeners who planted the garden of this country had a vision, an idea of providing a place for all to bring their exotic species and plant them in the fertile soil and to be given this opportunity to maintain their area of the garden to fight against the natural incursion of weeds and to thrive where they were planted. That is the design of the original master gardeners who have provided the blueprint for us in this country. Now, it is up to us, each individual gardener, to work to maintain what it is we would have in our plot, what it is we would tend and what it is we would pull to allow for that which we desire to flourish. It is an ongoing and active practice as you know, one season of being untended and a garden may be overrun.

Truly, this scenario and this analogy are one of my fondest remembrances of life as a mortal, this directly kneeling down on the earth and applying your intention through your hands, pulling the weeds, planting the seeds, arranging and deciding what will live and what will die. What you would promote and what you would curtail is a joy of being a mortal of the realm. This very act pervades your entire life experience. What will you leave room for in your internal garden? What will you bring in? What exotic species will you introduce and what weeds that you no longer have use of will you painstakingly go to the trouble of removing to provide room for that which you would nourish and which would build the soil of your soul? This is what your opportunity comes to, each one tending their own garden and together collectively tending this greater garden, this experiment of America.

It is always a great pleasure and privilege to come and spend time with you, to join in energy signatures and to resonate together to a common theme. I cherish this opportunity provided. I will never tire of exercising it and I count on all of you, my fellow gardeners, to meet me from time to time in this garden of spirit where we will gladly roll up our sleeves and get to work, to get down on our knees and familiarize ourselves with the most basic of elements, that we may make a garden pleasing in our sight and to our Divine Parents. Even as we do now, it is my pleasure to get dirty with you to cultivate the soil and to envision the great and glorious flowering and the splendid fruits which can only be had by such efforts as we will provide.

Accept my love and joy to be with you and I take yours with me. Until the next time we meet in the garden, I bid you all a great day.

Prayer: Divine Parents, it is our pleasure and our privilege to once again circle up in spirit with the attitude that we bring of gratitude for this entire process which brings us closer to you. We understand that when we invest ourselves in approaching and in seeking spirit we invariably find you. And so it is with this faith and this confidence in this process, we move forward with the expectation of your grace and the invitation to welcome you into our circle, our circle of faith that we assemble at this time. Let it be so that we approach you with open hearts and create a space within to embrace you in our parlor of spirit and help us to maintain your presence more and more in our lives, not just at special moments like this but throughout. May we recall and may we take with us your presence and your peace. Let it be so, even now, thank you.

Charles: I greet you all this evening, it is my pleasure as well to join you in this process that you have developed and that you honor so consistently since you have discovered it and formed it in your lives. I will concur with you that there  is always a great value in taking whatever steps may be useful to you to center yourselves and prepare yourselves to let down all of the surrounding noise and simply prepare yourself to receive that which spirit would bring. As you are all coming to be aware in your own lives, this spirit presence is not one of an active mind circuit. You are not seeking words which come to your mind formed and ready to be executed. You are seeking a transfer of spirit from your Divine Parents through their emissaries directly into your spirit center.

Words are only symbols, signposts that may be used along the way to direct and guide and illustrate but true meanings and values are imparted on another level altogether. They are wordless and less they are profound. It is important, that while seeking spirit, you allow a space wherein such a transfer of energy may be housed, that is, if your vessel is full, there is no room to impart to you that which you would seek in your spiritual searches. That is what the Master meant when he said you must come with the spirit of a child, the open mind, of one who would willingly accept that which is offered without too much preconception or filtered by too many obstacles of the mind.

You see, it is necessary for you to have room to expand beyond your current capacity. As mortals of the realm you tend to be full of yourselves, that is, you are full of your notions and ideas and your preconceptions of what you will find when you search, how it will be and what you expect. All these notions tend to conform to your interpretations and therefore you are stuck on a wheel of sorts. Nothing new can come in because there is no room for expansion, there is no area wherein unknown patterns may be introduced, where previously unexperienced spirit may thrive.

Thus I will reflect as many others have on the importance of creating this space and one very potent tool for doing so is the stillness as has been mentioned here tonight. The stillness is simply the discipline, the desire to make yourselves positioned so that you may receive that which you seek, to relieve yourselves of the burdens of the many thoughts and patterns contained within your being long enough for a new one to be introduced. I call you all to witness that when a new spiritual pattern is introduced into your consciousness, there is as gasp of fresh air in knowingness that this new pattern, this new ideal that has come to the fore in your consciousness is worthy of your embrace.

These are the aha moments, these are the steps of awareness that one takes and after having experienced these new and different patterns, you will all witness, that you are never really the same again. Your capacities have been expanded, your awarenesses have been increased and you are not the same being that you were beforehand. But if you will notice these leaps that happen in your consciousness are only available to you when you are in a state ready to receive them. They may easily pass you by when you are concerned with the affairs of the mind or even the affairs of the heart. While you are concerned with any other affair, you are occupied, you are busy, you are no longer available for spirit to contact and approach and embrace. That is what is so significant and of such great value about your learning to create the space for spirit as early in your eternal career as possible because this is where the true growth happens. This is where the true values are contained in your ability to take what the universe has to offer you, your ability to embrace that which your Divine Parents would so freely give you. So I am always here in support of those who would invest in themselves, invest in the process.

It was mentioned earlier, the concept of devoting yourself to the mission, to a purpose, to a cause and maintaining your integrity to this cause. I tell you, that there is truly but one cause and one purpose which super-cedes all others. That purpose is what this whole entire universe is designed to accommodate, that purpose it the delight of your Divine Parents, that purpose is the plan that has been established and is being executed on your behalf. That plan is for you as individuals to grow your souls, to embark with complete resolution onto your eternal career in awareness and with purpose.

It can be said that there is no greater purpose that serves the universe than for each individual member to tend to their own spiritual growth. All other actions are out-workings of this purpose. Service is but a symptom of this purpose, love is but a function of this purpose, worship is but a natural outcome of the awareness of this purpose. As mortals of the realm, we hear from you over and over again in your heartfelt petitions about what you should be doing in this life, how you may be useful and serviceable, what should be your purpose while you spend your life as a mortal. I tell you plainly there is but this one purpose, this one design for you to execute and embrace. All the universe has been arranged for you to facilitate this undertaking and while it is true that there are many avenues of expression of this purpose, many important values that are derived while undergoing this purpose, in the end, the attention you pay to the self is the one gift you give to your Creators. They already love you, they already care for you, they have designed this whole life plan for you. Their love for you is unconditional and certain. Your love for yourself remains conditional and at times uncertain.

And while avenues such as service, avenues such as relationship, avenues such as important life works are all significant and contain value, they are all aspects of this one original plan, that you find out who you are, you find out that you are part of the whole, that you are necessary, that you are loved by your Divine Parents, and that your entire eternal career before you is geared towards the development of who you are. This is the greatest contribution you can make and as a result of the growth of the self, these other avenues of expression appear. You are led to be of service, you are led to have some significance in your life's work, you are led to have relationships and be part of the eternal careers of those around you just as they are drawn to be a part of yours. But all of these things are in support of or as the result of the one main thrust of all that you can imagine and that is your own personal spiritual growth. However it happens, whenever it happens, under what circumstances it happens, however you need to facilitate it such as a centering prayer or an act of stillness, all these are tools to enable the plan to unfold.

I invite you to consider just how significant that is because individuals downplay significance in reference to themselves. You are born in this life and stare out from this point of individualism and think that everything around you is what's happening, is what's important, is what's significant, else you would not be coming in contact with it when I can tell you that what is significant is your individual point of perspective. You see, this is another thing that is unique to you and only you in all of time and space, in all of humanity, on every planet throughout systems upon systems, there is but one you, the juncture of time and space and the perspective that that brings to you is unique.

Again, this is one aspect that you may share with your Divine Parents and ultimately with the Supreme. You and only you can volunteer to share your experience and combine it, make it part of the Supreme experience. You are the only one that can. No one else can offer your perspective, no one else has been where you have been, was born where you were born, has had the experiences you have had. You and you alone in all the universes contain this experience. How delightful for your Divine Parents when you offer to share this unique once and in an eternity experience with them. How wonderful it is for the Supreme to know that you are willing to bring back to It the experience that you have gathered on route from the material mortal plane through the spiritual existence all the way back to the First Source and Center from which you were issued, bearing with you your experience, your soul that you have grown through the entire encounter. These are your gifts, the one thing that the Supreme, the First Source and Center desire of you, the one thing of significance you have to offer, the uniqueness that is you.

I don't know that it's possible for you to fully appreciate the magnitude. It seems such a small thing in the mortal life. So what, you're an individual, you're separate, your different and distinct but I tell you that is the glory, that is the masterpiece of the entire plan, that you are a unique perspective, a unique individual, that you are a fragment of the whole which is being grown and expanded throughout your experiences and then willingly returned back to the Creator. The scope of the plan is indeed immense but your part remains consistent. Your part remains the same throughout your eternal career, to fulfill the destiny of yourself, to actively work to make the most of all that you have been given this once in an eternity start, so that when you have had a good and long and experience filled journey, you may offer all that you have gleaned in the process back to the Supreme from which it has come.

I hope I have not ventured too far aloft with such a description of your purpose but I felt it necessary to attempt to expand the scope of your awareness so that you can appreciate that that which you do in time, here, now, is of significance throughout eternity and even into the infinite. It matters that you hold the purpose, it is a significant thing that you seek spirit. Don't trouble yourselves with the degree at any moment in this journey that you assess how much or how little you have attained. All that will wash away with the insignificance of time in relation to the magnitude of your journey. Trust that you are on this journey and that all before you has been designed for your edification, for your growth. Mansions on high have been arranged for your purpose and you will traverse through these ages and stages, each time being more and more confident about the answer. What is my purpose? What should I be doing? Is what I am doing significant? The more you function in the spiritual domain the more such questions are relieved in your consciousness.

For now, one of the attributes you are developing in this time/space environment is that of faith. All of you have faith else you would not be here. I invite you to exercise that faith, to grow that faith muscle which is only available to you in this gymnasium we call the mortal experience. Never again will you be given the opportunity to exercise such faith muscles for as you grow in spirit, you will require faith less and less. Indeed, spirit will become so certain to you that at some point faith will be a thing of the past. It will be a bridge you have used to get you across the void of uncertainty, but having traversed this void, there will be a time when you will not need these great faith muscles that you develop now for you will be in spirit, you will be of spirit and there will be no misunderstanding, no doubts, no uncertainties as to your purpose, as to your mission, as to your function as an individual.

So, as a divine part of the whole, as a fragment of the total, simply execute your destiny, simply adhere to your purpose and that purpose is to grow yourself, to expand your soul, to increase your capacity for spiritual perception and awareness. But doubt not that these things will happen. They are a part of your destiny. Those who are on this trail seeking spirit will most certainly find it. Exercise your faith that this is the case and your journey will be made easier.

It is indeed my pleasure to bring you words of cheer and comfort. I understand the mortal epoch is not an easy one. There is doubt, there is uncertainty. Trust as there are trees, rivers and mountains, that doesn't mean that they can't be navigated and traversed but they are there to be encountered as part of the mortal experience and I tell you that one day you will reflect back on these mortal experiences and marvel at what you endured, what you encountered, the faith that you were able to develop, the steadfastness you held to your course and the sure and certain outcome of your spiritual pursuits.  All of this will be made plain and undeniable to you. It is only now that you must grapple with the uncertainty, that you must rally yourselves to the cause and trust that all is well, that you are on the path and that this is the path your Divine Parents have laid out for you. How wrong can you go? How bad could it possibly turn out? I tell you, be at peace, be in faith and act as if you are aware that this is the case. It will make your journey far more pleasant and it will prevent those doubts and uncertainties from knocking you off course.

It is most interesting to observe that you begin your ascension career from the furthest point out, one could say, the hardest class first, the class in which you must develop faith, you must find your spiritual component, you must learn to trust that aspect of yourself, you must seek spiritual guidance, find it and follow it. These tasks while in the mortal form are daunting but they will prove to be some of your greatest experiences because you will dominate, you will succeed, you will traverse these chasms of doubt and find yourselves on the other side and it will be only then that you will be able to have the proper perspective of what it is like to need faith, to find faith, to have faith and to use it. How else would you come to these understandings and have these experiences? Later in your career when you are engaged fully as a spiritual being, these opportunities will not be available to you, you will have come through them, have passed through this classroom.

So as difficult as it may seem, relish them, enjoy them, take them each one in as the gift they are to you. Your experience here has been designed for you to have, the awareness that you are a child of Divine Parents enables you to embrace this experience with a different attitude, with a perspective that this is part of the plan and you are where you should be, doing what you should be [doing], staying true to the principles that you hold fast and in fact, all is well. It may take you some time to acknowledge that but you will acknowledge that even in your darkest time, times when you were furthest away from spirit, there was a goodness there. There was value contained in that experience that will position you to have perspective on what it means to function in spirit. This perspective may only be had as you embrace these experiential platforms along the way.

It has been my pleasure to provide these thoughts for your consideration this evening. I hope that some of these arrows have hit their mark and that you all come away with a sense of peace for you all are on the right path, you all are doing what your Divine Parents have designed you to do. And so be in peace with this, embrace the experience for what it is and take it with you. It becomes part of who you are and part of what you have to give back to the First Source and Center when you return. So be it. I thank you all for listening this evening. I sense that is quite enough for now.

Prayer: I would like to invite our Divine Parents to join us in our circle, as if they are not, and strengthen our circle, bring us their peace and their light to add to ours as we bring ours to add to theirs and put all of us in the light as well. It is not only about the things that are out there, we must remember the self as part of the equation. Help us to do that Divine Parents. So much of life is focused on things we see, things we hear, things that are out there. Help us to always remember that all those things are aspects of our inner self and relationships to our inner self, that our entire experience is conditioned by our inner self and how it perceives all that is out there.

Charles: Good morning my friends, I am Charles here again accepting the invitation that was created with your willingness here this morning. I invite you to consider that the strength of any combination of any group, of any organization, is composed of the combination and total of the individuals who comprise the group. The more potent and powerful each individual component of a system is, the more powerful and potent the entire organization of this system may become. Therefore it is ever true, as has been stated, that the individual components are what may be strengthened by the efforts of the individuals comprising the total.

If you are the best you can be when you join a team, if you have done the effort and practiced your part individually, then as a player on the team, you become more valuable because you have put the energy and effort into raising the value of the individual in combination with the group. If each individual pays service and attention to their own skill level, their own ability level, then when they come together they bring much more to the table than relying on the idea that somehow, in combination their strengths will be brought forward. It is true, that in combination, strengths are brought forward, that potentials may be activated, but think how much greater the influence and how much more potent the group or team may be when all the individuals within the group have honed skills and abilities to be able to be activated in the team.

At this time of year, when you have your world wide games you call your Olympics, you will notice that there is a distinct and different level which are applied to individual feats of strength and endurance and group pursuits such as the team sports. But there is a great interest in the individual which can, through their own efforts, in relationship to all the others, be deemed to be superior. The one trait that you will find running through all of these individuals who make it to stand upon the podium by themselves is an unrelenting desire for self improvement. They may have coaches, they may have individuals who bring them inspiration and words of encouragement, but in the final analysis, no once can exercise for them, no one can train for them, no amount of advice will make the difference. What makes the difference for these individuals is their individual commitment and pursuit to personal excellence. That is what enables them to stand upon the podium and receive the accolades of an entire world. They have driven themselves to a level of excellence which is only attainable through personal individual efforts.

There is a different whole phenomenon which occurs with team sports in which you must work together, you must train together and you must rely on the skills of your teammates as much as your own skills, but nevertheless, even so, the best teams, the finest accomplishments are derived with similar pursuits, the pursuit of each member on the team to rise to a level of personal excellence, to bring their commitment 100% to offer to the organization and they are willing to work with others and play the role that they are designed to play to the best of their capacity. In so doing, they commit to the larger organization while relying on the individual commitment to the self to stay ready, to stay in tune, to stay focused and stay prepared [which] only occurs on an individual basis.

So whether these are individual feats of success or team oriented feats of success, success remains dependent on the ultimate commitment of the individuals involved. There is no way around this measuring of success. Just because you are on a team does not make you a great player; you must be a great player to be on the team. Just because you have aspirations to be a world class athlete does not make you one. You must follow through, you must do the training, maintain the rigorous exercises and pursue your goal with complete intention and focus. The world stands up and celebrates those who have made such achievements, who have risen to such a place of authority based upon walking the walk, not talking the talk.

The same dynamics hold true in spiritual pursuits. You may be involved in team sports such as your light group in which you gather together to bring your skills that you have honed, your talents to the table to be used in combination with others in a collective activity. This is all well and good, as you have come to know certain success is always present when you are in relationship with others, in combination with those who, like you, would come together to offer their talents and services. The effectiveness of any group is dependent upon its individuals, those who would come together and what they would bring to the equation.

But likewise, while you are all involved in team sports, you are also individual spiritualists in training, undergoing your exercises and doing your due diligence to keep in tone, to maintain your strength, in fact increase it, and to train your spiritual selves to go the extra mile to have the endurance required. This is your individual events, your personal bests, and you are engaged in these as well as your group pursuits. It is good to keep in mind that the true athlete is not so much in competition for their position relative to others as they are in continually furthering their personal best, that is, expanding and increasing your capacities, your potentials and your accomplishments past what they were before.

This notion of choosing again is a golden key for you to always use in these pursuits for you may continually look to rise to a new personal best with such a key to be used. Simply allow yourself the freedom to choose again, knowing what you know in this hour, using the awareness of this moment, making a new choice can instantly bring you to a position of new personal best. This is the true endurance athlete, this is the true long term spiritualist, this is the true devoted individual to personal growth, be it in a physical capacity, a mental capacity or a spiritual capacity. This is the signature of one who does not let up but rather sees life as the opportunity for further training, further growth and further expansion of the self.

That remains what is so impressive about the weekly donations that you all bring to this forum, your contributions designed to bring the spark of inspiration, the moments of confirmation, the potential for expanded awareness, the use of the gems and the tools that you gather throughout and bring them to the group conversation so that there may be expansion of the group as well as the expansion of the individuals. No more could be asked of the individual or any group than that the members remain committed, focused, on task and show up for work prepared. Such is this group and I am honored to allow myself to be considered a part of this group.

I now would take my leave after offering my gratitude for such an opportunity. It indeed furnishes me with both the opportunity to participate and grow within the context of a group and as well, I assure you, I grow individually as my relationship to this group proves to be an expanding experience. I stand in gratitude. I take my leave for now, enjoy your week, farewell.

Jonathan: Good morning my friends, I am Jonathan here and this discussion of groups and combinations draws me like the moth to the flame. I will take this analogy and work in another familiar direction. We all are familiar with the charms and distinction of individual musical artists. We marvel at their capacity to have command of the situation and to be able to hold their own if you will, to be able to make an entire complete presentation by themselves. This demonstrates accomplishment and certain success at having mastered their skills to a level of confidence that can be appreciated by any onlooker and it is very true that we all have been taken at times by the solo artist who speaks to our heart and charms us with their presentation.

I will also call you to witness that we have all encountered in our experience, the combination of several very good musicians coming together all bringing their accomplishments and level of success and donating them to a common cause we refer to as a band. We will all come to witness that there is a special symmetry around those who would gather together under this one common purpose and work to get on the same page as it were, of music, and follow the same guidelines and together work to fulfill their part to its greatest capacity so that the overall whole maybe something of magnificence.

Any one of these individual artists may in fact be able to play their instrument to a level of expression worthy of a solo performance but when combined, when harnessed, when this energy is hitched together to the same wagon, there is an additional component. There is an overall synergistic magic some would call it, where tones combine, harmonies are created and there are then subsequent overtones which occur and before long, this great combination of accomplished musicians is able to create something that may only be created through such unified effort as they are willing to give.

Like in the athletic world, there are the soloists who manage to be able to be recognized for their accomplishments and there are those who desire to come together and work together in the team aspect and be recognized for their coordinated contributions, their selfless use of their skill towards a more common and central goal. These are easily identified in your life experiences. I am sure you all have been taken by both the soloist and by the magnificent band. There is a place for all of these in the spectrum of life experience but the thread which runs through is the devotion of the individual, the practice to become skilled and accomplished in and of themselves that they may bring their talents and their skills to the table to be used or they may exercise their talents and skills alone.

Either way, it is the accomplishment of these who would have the self discipline to maintain the integrity of their musical skills which provide the basis for all these experiences that we encounter as we enjoy these musical offerings. It is ever true, and I know it from my own experience, that one must be prepared when showing up to be part of a group exercise or else they are not able to offer to the group their very best skills and I think I can call you all to witness that we all have been in groups in which we feel prepared and ready to go and willing to offer everything, and we all have arrived at group where we feel unprepared, behind the curve, trying to catch up, wishing we would have practiced. The same is true of spiritual pursuits. Sometimes we are in the group feeling on our game, ready to go, in touch and willing to give our all and other times we feel slow, behind the curve and not quite in the flow. The difference in these cases was the degree of self-service, the self preparation, of paying attention to the self so that you can be the best you can be in relation to others or simply in relation to your personal best.

It is always a joy to drop in to a group I call myself a member of and bring whatever I may have to bring to the table. We all are enjoying just the active participation together and encouraging each other, each one to be our personal best and to rise to the occasion. Such is my contribution here today. I bring to the table some of my skills, some of my talents as you all do and offer them for the group edification, but in the final analysis, more so for the individuals of the group because that is what makes the group strong and powerful. It is a reflection of the pieces. I do so enjoy being part of this mirrored reflection with all the rest of you. I thank you for the opportunity. Until next time, good day to you all.

Charles: [Mark] Good morning my friends, I am Charles and it is a pleasure to interject some thoughts into this mornings class as you so allow. Let's consider the whole notion and topic this morning of authority and how this impacts the human experience. Let's all pause to consider the many different ways in which individuals of the realm become studied and proficient and then are considered to be knowledgeable, perhaps even expert in their realm and how such a condition of being considered an authority in any avenue brings with it a great weight because everyone wants to be informed, everyone wants to be knowledgeable and in the possession of awareness and so when other individuals who are considered to be knowledgeable and expert impart their perspective to us, it is then perceived that it is incumbent upon us to embrace this vantage point because they are in fact, more versed and more skilled in their perspective than you are in yours or at least that is the model of operation under which the society at large functions.

There are those who are in the know, those who are well versed experts and there are the rest, everyone else, who somehow seeks what these empowered individuals have to share. While these individuals may in fact possess the most current, the most up to date, the most complete knowledge about the realms over which they are presiding, it is nevertheless true that their areas of expertise are likewise necessarily compromised, and by this I mean, that in order to pursue thorough knowledge as let's say a scientist, there becomes engrained the pattern of science and science is looked at to answer every question and be responsible for the ultimate in authority over all that it perceives to have jurisdiction over.

There are many great and good scientists who have firm grasp on all that science has to offer and feel as though they have a stance in which they view the world and their field provides enough answers for them to be at peace. But this field of science pertains to only one of the aspects of a spiritual mortal being, that is the avenue of mind and while it is able to satisfy the requirements of mind, while it is able to fill in the blanks in scientific understandable quantitative terms which brings peace of mind to these individuals, the picture is necessarily incomplete because it does not take into account the other aspects or all aspects of a mortal beings existense.

Not all factors can be explained by science, there are many unseen and unknown aspects to the human condition which are variables in the equation which are present in the total example of the mortal of the realm. These different aspects of the material being are under other professionals jurisdictions. The spiritual component is relegated to the churches, the preachers, the synagogs, the realm of religion and spirit and the condition of the body may very well be relegated to those fitness professionals who can tell you how to make the most out of the physical condition.

All these pursuits have experts in their field which are indeed quite knowledgeable about how their aspect of life works and what factors may come to condition this aspect. But the more you learn and grow as a mortal of the realm, the more you understand that you are in fact a composite being. There is a side of you which may be developed for each of these three aspects of a being. Certainly there is the physical body which must be tended to and has fairly observable and strict guidelines over its use and condition and state of health. There are aspects of your health which are drawn into the realm of mind when you visit your health professionals and they are utilizing science and observable phenomenon to inform you on their best ideas and perspective for what one should do to promote health. Then there are those spiritual gurus who will inform you that so much of your health is in fact conditioned by your spiritual aspect which takes in more of the complete picture.

I offer these examples this morning for your consideration so that you may see the impact that a professional has when they offer their best insights into whatever it is they are proficient at and their best insights are derived from their efforts at becoming proficient in their field. All this is good and worthy. When your car breaks down, you want an individual who is a proficient mechanic to be able to know what you need and offer you the correct solution. When you have troubles with your physical vehicle, you run to the mechanic called the doctor and ask them, with the symptoms and conditions that you observe, what should you do? They will offer their best advice. When you go to the priest and say you have a burden on your soul, they will offer you their best advice. When you go to the gym, they will tell you what to do to condition your various sets of muscles.

And all these are to you, a wide variety of perspectives and suggestions but it is up to you as an individual to embrace and adopt and assimilate the aspects which you see are beneficial for your condition because, as was mentioned, you are a unique individual in all these capacities and there will be a special combination that is required for you at your station. And so, while you seek the counsel of those in authority, be ever willing to make your own assessments based upon how these suggestions enter into your being. Certainly, all these professionals are doing their best in trying to help. It is not as though any of them believe that they are engaging in any deception or have any evil intent on your behalf. They are trying to help, they are offering the best that they have to give. These many books that you read are offering these different perspectives and for some, these perspectives will ring true and be ultimately valid and others will not find that they fit into the totality of the being that they are at that time.

But it is always good and well to consider the impact that these professionals whose counsel you seek have over you and upon you and to consider that when you, as individuals, seek with authority, likewise you wield great potential and power over others who may be seeking your counsel. Likewise for you, it is incumbent upon you to offer your very best, your very highest understanding, your keenest perception, your best perspective and in so doing to realize that just as you are impacted by the counsel of others, some will be impacted by your counsel as well. So it is incumbent upon you to make it your best, to offer only that which will be helpful.

As you may have noticed, there is a general approach among those of us you call teachers on the other side, and that is to do no harm first, which is part of the physicians creed, to offer that which will promote and be healthy rather than to use any energy whatsoever to promote that which is unhealthy, unhelpful, discouraging or can create fear. We tend to avoid such expressions at all cost because they carry so much weight and are so significant that we choose not to empower them. Rather, we will always choose to bring the light, to shine the love and spring forward those elements which would promote goodness and beauty and to illustrate truth in its best light.

This is one of the criticisms leveled towards professionals, that when a professional gives you a decree, it is not necessarily empowering to the individual, but rather empowering to the professional. Mind that this stance is not one that you undertake if at all possible. Beware that all exchanges may be perceived as either empowering or debilitating and that the best you can do as a fellow and individual amongst your brothers is to be a source of empowerment, a source of enlightenment, a source of love and peace. This is what the human soul craves most, this empowering from others, this helpful hand instead of authoritative decree.

I hope this illustration has enabled you to see both the benefits and the hazards of both accepting and offering yourselves in the capacity of professionals or master over anything. Those conclude my remarks here this morning, I am going to remain in attendance should there be dialog. I send my best wishes to you all.

LIght: [Cathy] I am enchanted with the picture presented of your group in the light. Each of you brings a vibration, a shade to the total. If you will believe in your capacity to focus and enhance this light we can play with it together. All things respond to spirit and light. Their capacity and awareness can be enhanced and focused. Light brings effective action when it it applied with intention. I am waiting for you to decide to join me.

Jonathan: [Mark] Good morning friends, Jonathan here. I will chime in and speak a little bit about the ever rising capacity around the human condition. It is easy to look at the history of mortals on this world and to see that there has been a steady progression of advancement of individuals of the realm. But what I would have fun pointing out to you this morning is that at each stair on the staircase of humanity there have been those who rose to that level, made discoveries, were proficient and expert in their field and caused all of humanity to rise up by one step. At that level, at that benchmark which humanity finds themselves, everyone will eventually catch up an agree with the assessment and the accomplishment of those authority figures.

But while they were making their discoveries and increasing the overall awareness, they were necessarily outside the realm of current wisdom and understanding, going beyond that realm to make additional discoveries which then caused all of current belief and understanding to undergo the change to have to accept the new paradigm of truth and reality as explored by those individuals. One by one, theory, knowledge and science have all been advanced by those individuals who were told what the limits of perception were at the time, who were told that the earth was flat or that all the universe revolved around the earth or that there could be a mysterious force which moved through electrical conduits and could be transferred from one location to another known as electricity. All of these were at one time beyond the realm, beyond the capacity of understanding and then, the edges of this capacity were breached and further discoveries were made by those who would not accept the laws of current limitation and who would move beyond these laws and in so doing would discover that which was outside the realm.

So I encourage you all to look at your social level of awareness and understand that this repeating pattern goes on throughout the construct of mortal existence. We rise to a level of awareness, we occupy that level for some time until someone discovers a new level of awareness and then the entire social structure has to undergo this point of acceptance and move to this new dimension. I offer you the examples in your current day of computers, cell phones, now smart phones and so on where a new level of awareness keeps being reached and then the consciousness of everyone has to catch up with what is now possible, what is now accepted, what is now normal.

This same paradigm goes on in all fields be it medicine, technology, even spiritual awareness. Benchmark after benchmark, step after step on the long scale, we rise, we occupy that position until another step appears before us to take. Then, we move to that next step and it appears that it is normal and natural, a mere course of activity. But at each one of these benchmarks it may have been perceived that you were at the limit, the very end of all that was possible, only to discover there's merely another step right next to you.

So I offer you this perspective in your discussion this morning, that you are on route to greater and greater understandings, to greater capacities, each one rising next to you as the next step and each one requiring that you sort out and accommodate this new and next level. Those who embrace these steps as simply more of the same pattern will have an easier go. Those who see these steps as a massive change where one has to leave a comfortable and friendly paradigm to move to another will experience these changes as difficult and as an obstruction.

So I encourage you all to simply be looking for the next step to pop up next to you, the next opportunity to climb to the next level of awareness because that is the glory of the plan. There is always more to be undertaken should you show yourself in readiness to do so. The fact that we are here this morning having this discussion illustrates the use of many of these steps we have taken before us which now we regard as normal and natural but which have become, each one, in time and with the application of our efforts to rise to the occasion.

I look forward to seeing what the next steps are for us all in this great staircase of ascension. For now I am quite content to hang out with you on this step and become comfortable in this paradigm for as long as it takes, for as much as we need to be gathered here and then no doubt, we will be presented with the next step and the opportunity to take it. So be it, it is my pleasure to have this experience along side you. I bid you all have a wonderful week ahead, good day.

Thea: [Cathy] I am also in attendance today as a visitor. It is my pleasure to witness this process from a different perspective as I become accustomed to be in a position of learning what the process really involves. We have accomplished much and there is great potential remaining that we have just approached. You have the opportunity to experiment and be creative. Take advantage of this limited opportunity. The time you have can be fantastic beyond your comprehension. Follow your leading and dare to step out of your comfort zone. I am so excited by the opportunity we have together.
