Unknown speaker(Bob S.): My children, let us be at prayer.

To those who have ears...let them listen. To those who have mouths...let them speak. To those who have eyes...let them see the world, the universe as it truly is. To those who have hearts...let them love. To those who have wills...let them be open to the will of Him Who created us all. And now, my children, open your ears to those who have prepared lessons for you, to each take under your wings and incubate those ideas throughout the next week. In Michael’s name we ask. Amen.

Daniel(Bill): Greetings, my friends. This is Daniel, your teacher, your counselor, your advocate, and your companion.

I am pleased, once again, to be in your presence, allowing the events of the days to come together in confluence of purpose and for the overall good of you all. As you share your thoughts and experiences with each other, you permit the Spirit of Truth to function freely. It is important for you each to interact with each other, for we are all God’s children, and we each have dignity status, so that whether our intellects be mighty or minuscule, we are nevertheless of value and our thoughts are important. I commend you on your evening of discussion, as you have considered many topics of importance to your lives today.

There are many things which are afoot in the universe, many things which we do not understand even though we are morontia progressors and you, mere mortals. We have come to understand that the universe is trustworthy. It is not capricious or hostile, in any sense. We are limited in our understanding by our experience level as well as by our native ability, but every day that we live one more 24 hour period in Christ Michael’s universe, we gain that much more insight.

I wish to talk about "inner peace" this evening. Peace has often been construed and understood as the absence of conflict, but inner peace can exist at the same time as conflict is occurring in one’s mind and heart. This is difficult of explanation for it appears that such a statement as I have just made is inherently contradictory At the animal level, it is. Setting aside the spiritual dimension and focusing only on the physical and mental level, there cannot be tranquility of mind or body when there is conflict. But if you add the third dimension, the spiritual dimension, then it is possible to have inner peace, spiritual peace, while you are in the midst of stress, strain, confusion of the mind and uncertainty as to the future.

Spiritual peace is a soul comprehension. It is a level deeper than your mortal body and your mortal mind. It is a sense of absolute security, complete safety of your essence, of your true self, for time and for eternity. It is like the bedrock that holds up the superstructure of the rest of your life. The winds of change may blow on that superstructure, tearing shingles from its roof, battering its windows with hail, but the foundation, the bedrock is not affected. The house, the superstructure, will not fall unless the bedrock was to move, as in an earthquake. So, the soul knows a peace, a spiritual peace, at the same time as the physical being and the mental aspects of a person may be under stress and conflict.

The soul is connected to your Indwelling Spirit as a child to Parent, even as the soul is connected to your mortal mind as child to parent. But the soul, being partly woven of eternal spiritual fabric is greater than, stronger than, and wiser than, your mortal mind, for the mortal mind has origin only in your animal nature. The peace that "passes understanding", the understanding of the mind, is this soul peace, this spiritual peace, this inner peace. It is beyond understanding because it is there despite circumstances of confusion, of stress, etc., which logically would rule out any notion of peace.

Now, all of you truly know what I am talking about. You have experienced this; and as your soul grows, this experience of peace in the midst of conflict and stress becomes more and more evident to you. It is this kind of peace which is shown forth in your every day lives to those whom you encounter. It is that solidity of soul peace that makes it possible for you to look upon the tragedies of the material life, and the worries and anxieties of the mortal mind, and yet have a sense of transcendence and sustenance which those who are not acquainted with their soul, do not experience.

The words of peace the Master gave to his apostles on the night of his betrayal "I don’t give you peace like the world gives you peace. My peace shall remain with you". It was Jesus’ profound soul peace, spiritual peace, that carried him through those awful last hours of His mortal career. Never think that Jesus does not understand every aspect of being human. Never think that He did not personally experience the dread of torture, the shame of men’s despising. He felt those things, but He stayed connected to his profound peace and therefor, He was victorious! He, the accused, stood in front of his accuser with the majesty of God incarnate. They marveled at Him, that He could retain his composure and could look so regal under those awful circumstances.

As we look toward the season of remembrance in regard to this aspect of Michael’s incarnation, (Ed. Note: Daniel is referring to the season of Lent) let us truly follow him by connecting more deeply with that great ocean of peace that laps the shores of our soul, that security, that absolute certainty of God’s love for us and our eternal career in response!

Thank you for your listening. I will conclude our meeting without opportunity for comment because I wish you to meditate and think on these things. Farewell, my friends. Good evening.
